The system is failing due to a crash.
I suspect something might be going wrong with your system. My machine uses an i7-12700k processor, a B550 motherboard, and a GIGABYTE 32GB DDR4 RAM with an RTX 4070 Ti from Gainward. It runs on a 1000W pure power 11 from Be Quiet, and I’m still using three monitors for multitasking while gaming. Despite everything running smoothly—especially at 100 FPS in Ultra without any crashes—I’m worried it’s failing soon. I’ve tested every free benchmark tool but can’t pinpoint the issue. My parts are under warranty, yet after over six months of testing, no problems were found. Could it be that my CPU isn’t getting enough power because the motherboard only has one 8-pin connector? Any advice on possible causes?
It might just be Helldivers 2. Are you playing any other tough games as well? Regarding CPU-heavy titles, do they tend to crash like Helldivers 2? Have you tried running Heaven alongside Cinebench at once? (You usually set up Heaven first and then decide whether to let it run or pause so scenes don’t switch while you test Cinebench.)
The exact model number is B550, which features an AMD chipset. You were referring to B660 instead.
It was the B660M with DDR4. I wasn’t sure if it was the B550 or the B660, but I located the package DX.
Checking your CPU temperature and whether you've installed the latest Intel chipset drivers.
The temperatures are around 75°C. I’ve refreshed the bios and chipset drivers, but it didn’t fix the issue. (Heaven and Cinebench didn’t cause a crash either.) I switched the PCIe gen speed to Gen 4 now, and it’s working better. Still, it crashes occasionally. I’ll try City Skyline later to test the CPU and update then.
Your PSU uses a single rail design. Have you experimented with this setup before? The default power limit is 100%.
