The System is displaying highly unpredictable actions?
My device is showing highly unpredictable performance.
It worked perfectly yesterday,
but a few hours back it was struggling with very low frame rates and noticeable aliasing in games. Besides that, some applications won’t start or load, slow down during operation, display issues appear, and they crash or hang when trying to close.
There are numerous visual problems. When using the Brave browser, it displays uniformly if opened normally, though it may work correctly in privacy mode. The task manager fails to load icons and freezes when closed. Similar cases are common.
Certain programs function well, while others don’t. No clear pattern emerges.
Initially, I suspected a monitor problem. A new 4K gaming monitor has been working smoothly for a week. This issue began a few hours ago after connecting a DP cable at 240Hz and setting both the monitor and Windows to match that frequency. Yet, once the cable was unplugged and settings returned to 120Hz, the problems continued.
I also connected an external speaker yesterday, but I can’t pinpoint how that might be causing the issues. No drivers, software updates, or installations have been applied.
My computer has been restarted multiple times. I removed and reinstalled Radeon Adrenalin along with all graphics drivers, performed a factory reset. Then I installed the latest Microsoft update and restarted again. I rolled back to previous updates and restarted. I adjusted various display and monitor settings, even doing a factory reset on the monitor. Defender detected no activity.
The only consideration I haven’t tried is connecting my old monitor to see if the problems remain. I’m hesitant due to the effort required, but if it’s a display issue, why are other programs still struggling?
The timing of these issues right after plugging in the DP cable and enabling 240Hz seems odd, yet they persist even when switching back to HDMI at 120Hz.
I’m guessing there might be a problem with my SSD or possibly with the graphics card or processor. The only option I have is to reformat it, though that would be risky.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
There are numerous issues happening simultaneously.
Have you performed an SFC and DISM scan to identify any damaged or corrupt Windows files?
Are you utilizing the on-chip AMD graphics? Check for a recent System Restore Point that you might revert to—this could resolve the issue?
Visit gigabyte's website to find out if the display port has a firmware update available. The HDMI and display port use an interface chip that can be updated, and many units seem to lack this update, which could explain your monitor problems with the MSI Cubi-N N200.
Sorry, I don't understand.
It's noteworthy you said this began when I connected a DP cable.
Nevertheless, after switching back to HDMI my issues continue.
I'm unsure if that matters.
I'm preparing to carry out a BIOS update.
I think it's similar to updating the display port firmware.
Thanks again for your responses.
Don't assume anything; you might not be handling it well.
It seems you'll need to involve someone who can recognize the parts involved.
