I don't understand how or why I ended up in another PC situation. My computer became locked by Windows after a reset, and I had to follow new steps to get unstuck. Now I'm back on Windows 22H2 updating to 23H2... everything I had disappeared, but it seems stable again. It might have been my mistake, so I blamed myself completely, but now the problem is still unresolved. Please shed some light on this if possible.
Probably, but I managed to leave without spreading anything else. I lost two media creation sticks, and the secure boot ROM of my PC's BIOS got infected so badly that fixing it became a real challenge. Still, I’m making progress toward the upgrade. (I don’t know how it happened, but it looked like the infection was in the secure boot section of the BIOS). Also, my last fresh install before now failed completely because of this unknown issue.
I don’t think Windows’ approach to handling such problems is very effective. They only gave me 10 seconds to enter a pass key, which I had to retrieve by logging into an MS account and then getting that information back to the lock-screen. I wasn’t sure if it was from Microsoft or something else.
