The system has been performing poorly.
Several video games struggle to maintain a frame rate exceeding 30 frames per second, and my graphics card’s performance fluctuates unpredictably. I suspect a limitation exists, yet older titles released in 2007 are consistently capped at 19 frames per second. I’m unsure how to proceed. Below are my system details:
Windows 10 Professional
AMD Radeon RX470 with 4GB of memory
Intel Core i3-3220 at 3.3 GHz
8GB of DDR3 RAM
HP Motherboard utilizing the LGA 1155 socket (OEM).
I’m not particularly knowledgeable about power supplies, but the suggested wattage for the RX 470 is 450W, requiring a 6-pin PCI Express connector. Could this power supply include that connector, or would an adapter have been necessary?
Hello!
What power supply unit are you using?
What are your processor and graphics card temperatures?
Are your graphics card drivers current?
Please scan for any infections or malicious software.
Though the processor is somewhat old, it should work well with an RX 470, however, other elements like the games you play and your monitor’s resolution are also important considerations.
