Everything functioned well until I relocated the PC roughly half a meter away from its original position. After making minor adjustments to the room layout, the issues began to emerge. Even after replacing my 4090 with a new identical model and performing a clean Windows installation (removing all partitions), the problems persisted. A fresh Windows 11 setup, with all partitions deleted, did not resolve the issue. I still lack clarity on what might be causing it.
Here’s my current setup:
- CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K
- Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX XT
- Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI
- RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-5600 CL40
- Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB, 2 TB, 2 TB
- GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB
- Power Supply: MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 1300 W 80+ Platinum
- Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 RGB
- Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
I suspect the slight movement might have affected cable connections. I verified everything is secure, so perhaps a new PSU would help? Additionally, I noticed Hearts of Iron 4 runs more smoothly on my 5950x and 3080ti systems, but there’s noticeable stuttering now—especially when opening certain in-game features or switching countries with a cheat code. Apex Legends is generally stable but occasionally lags.
These are the main issues leading to crashes.
I would initially attempt to run the PC using a single stick of RAM at a time to identify any faulty stick. Did you disconnect it prior to relocating the PC?
Thank you for your response. It seems like returning the RAM and purchasing a new one might be the best option. I also believe the issue lies with the RAM.
