Occasionally every hour, during gaming and when idle, this issue appears. I checked it on a fresh motherboard with an SSD, but it still happens. What might be causing it? Could the NVMe drive be installed incorrectly in the wrong slot?

You're asking about the purpose of using Chrome under light load conditions. It seems you're dealing with performance and resource usage on your PC. The fact that multiple tabs open can strain the system is common. Watching videos with Chrome that relies on hardware acceleration isn't overly taxing, though it won't run smoothly if idle. If your setup has only the motherboard and SSD changed and the issue resolves, it likely points to a hardware or BIOS problem—possibly a faulty component in the motherboard or a corrupted SSD data. Try swapping one of those parts to help pinpoint the cause.

Yes, XMP is active. Your XMP profile aligns with the memory sticks, even when XMP is turned off.

I don’t have XMP and it also stops working when no programs are running in the background. Just while idle, sitting there for an hour, it suddenly crashes. The drive isn’t corrupted because I recently installed a new Windows version on it, but the problem still exists.

Earlier, I addressed a comparable concern by uninstalling and reinstalling the CPU. The issue disappeared, so I thought the problem might be due to improper seating, even though temperatures remained normal.

I've reinstalled the CPU, but the problem persists across different motherboards. I'm considering an NVMe drive since it had similar issues when running Linux. It seems unlikely to be corruption. On the other hand, the Windows SSD worked fine with both Linux and Windows setups.

Fixing the CPU installation resolved my problem. I also moved my M.2 drive to the rear of the motherboard. It might have been the CPU positioning or the broken M.2 slot that caused the issues. I plan to test it again in a few weeks and reinstall it. If problems persist, I’ll confirm the M.2 placement was incorrect.

Great to know it was resolved. It was really frustrating for me before it happened!
