You’re experiencing a black screen with no sound on your new AMD Athlon 64 X2 system, while the hard drives are still spinning. This could indicate a power or hardware issue. Check the power supply and ensure all components are properly connected. If the problem persists, test the hard drives separately to rule out drive failure.

Hey there! Are you thinking about swapping out CMOS batteries? This site feels a bit dated—best used if you're working with older setups from the 2000s.

I had already tried it, I was aiming for more than 4GHz and that’s why I purchased it.

It might indicate a dead CPU if you tested it on both motherboards and there were no signs of activity.

You can achieve significantly higher GHz on AMD FX CPUs. Although they use AM3 sockets, this is the only recommendation someone would give you to try FX.

Turn off all devices you don’t need to produce any output from the BIOS. That being said, stay prepared for the possibility you’ve acquired someone else’s electronic waste.

It's better to keep the system running for a shorter time instead of letting it operate continuously.

It simply indicates current is passing through the component, not implying any action. Find the most affordable CPU that matches your motherboard specs so you can evaluate it. How much time and effort are you prepared to invest in parts that have been around for over 15 years?

It’s starting up without the CMOS battery, but it keeps failing to function—only worked twice.
