I exchanged ports and cables, removed the cable from another drive that showed no issues, and when I restarted and connected it to the problematic drive again, the same problem occurred.

Checked the BIOS update log for the MSI motherboard and saw a note about "fixed SATA definitions." After updating, everything worked smoothly. It's strange that one particular drive caused an issue with three others, but I'm relieved my data remains secure.
