I just reinstalled Windows and tried to set up Origin again. The game file was on a different drive, so I moved it to the new installation but still couldn’t locate it. I’m stuck and don’t want to download it again. How can I actually find the game without that hassle?

Just download it, as you said the origin will confirm BF1 is present and mostly validate the installation. Only fetch additional files if some are absent or outdated.
