I purchased a fresh monitor and connected the HDMI cable to my graphics card. It functions properly, but only displays when accessing the Windows login screen. The BIOS interface disappears during use. I tested with an older monitor using a VGA cable, which worked fine. After shutdown, the BIOS screen transitions to the new monitor. I searched online about why the HDMI cable isn't visible in BIOS settings and noticed it might be necessary to detach the VGA cable from the card. Removing it didn’t help. The BIOS screen still doesn’t appear on my new monitor. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, does using an adapter impact this behavior? I removed my original VGA cable from a dedicated adapter that plugged into the graphics card.

It's actually typical and based on what I understand, the best solution is to change to a DVI or DP cable.

It seems like an unusual problem is occurring. The BIOS functions properly with the HDMI monitor, but issues arise when switching to DP mode.

I received an outdated monitor connected via a VGA cable. The BIOS functions properly on my old monitor, but it transitions to my new monitor (HDMI-based) when I log in to Windows.

Open the BIOS settings on the old display and configure it to the default option. Reconnect the HDMI cable and test the connection again.

The issue is that his display lacks a DP port, only an HDMI connection (RL2455HM) is available.

Is there a modified GPU BIOS available? Could using this method damage your card?
