Apologies because this is a repost from the graphic card forum as I was assuming the GPU was faulty. I think this is the best place to post. Symptoms: Straight reboot after a few mns of intense gaming, although I can play age of empires 2 for hours without any issue For instance tried with No Man's Sky and Red Dead Redemption 2 as well as 7Days to die. All will crash very very very quickly, like 1 or 2mn in game top. Had no problem before... this week basically, so all of a sudden without changing any hardware it went wrong which leads me to think it's a hardware related issue (i.e. faulty memory module or something of the sort). Didnt change any software that I can think of. What I tried: removed all mods/reshade from games reverted GPU oc to factory reinstalled latest nvidia drivers with a DDU launched furmark to see if the same problem occured, let it run for 15mn no trouble at all did a 4hrs memtest (booting from USB key) which gave a pass (no errors) used OCCT to stress test power for 1hr without issue used OCCT to test everything GPU related (VRAM, 3D Standard, 3D adapative) with instructions to use up to 100% of VRAM of GPU cores used OCCT to stress test CPU for an 1hr without issue used prime95 to stress test CPU (it's ongoing as I'm writing, 15mn into it, going well with CPU at 78C max, no sign of trouble) using vram test mentionned in first reply below (5mn test passed, going for longer Here's my config: win 10 pro / latest nvidia drivers 3080 10gb dell oem 32gb ram 2 nvme drives (they're alright according to SMART data) gigabyte ITX motherboard X570 cpu: 5700x3d + 240mm AIO case is a NR200 PSU: 750W corsair SFX got a bunch of USB stuff plugged, an external doc (it is powered though, not sucking power from PC), which I all unplugged to test. Additional info: Playing old games seem ok, I played far cry 2 for a good while without trouble. GPU was used at like 50% top. Also, played NMS on my secondary screen (2k) and again I was able to play for a good 15mn without trouble. At that resolution it maxes out most of the time at 165fps and the GPU is not even pushed to 100%, rather up to 70% max. Then I tried on the main screen, ultrawide 3440x1440 and it crashed HARD very fast, I was able to see a BSOD but couldnt read what it said unfortunately, it went away very very fast. Update: Then tried playing with ONLY the ultrawide screen, and it seems to work very reliably. Just played 30mn straight with NO CRASH. All help welcome, especially on diagnostic: if there's a tool I could use to test VRAM; I strongly suspect a vram module is dead, or something hardware related. If I can confirm GPU is dead, I will... not sure, but I want to play

Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to your Downloads folder (use the desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to the instructions since Windows doesn't allow file manipulation there.

Oh wow, I had no idea. I just got up and realized I need to tackle a few tasks before moving forward, but I'll save the details for later.

I'm going to sound crazy but... I unplugged all monitors, moved the cables in a specific order (1->2, 2->3, 3->1) and now I don't get any crashes anymore. What the... is happening? It doesn't make sense. I'm still testing for stability by playing.

From what I understand, all systems are functioning normally again after I rearranged the cables on the back of my GPU. Before that, everything seemed uncertain, but this simple change resolved the issue.
