You're experiencing slow Windows boot times with your ASUS TUF X670E, similar to issues you had with other ASUS models. This could be related to the hardware or BIOS settings. Have you checked for updates or performed a BIOS reset? Let me know if you'd like more specific advice.

Start with DDR5 and memory training. Turn off safe boot and check for any memory context save in the BIOS to recover earlier memory configurations.

I think most people using DDR5 memory encounter this issue. I wanted to confirm whether my board or RAM could be faulty, so I tried a safe boot but it didn’t work. Memory tests indicated everything was normal.

It's just one of the drawbacks currently associated with DDR5 and extended startup times, though it shouldn't affect performance or reliability. This issue also appears on Intel DDR5 systems. Updates to the BIOS from AMD might be addressing this problem.

Relies on the motherboard maker; ASUS is famous for consistent memory training. Check for BIOS updates, which should enhance your memory training and optimization. For my setup—Gigabyte AORUS B650 with DDR5 RAM—it boots in about 30 seconds. After seven months of use, I’ve noticed only occasional memory training sessions lasting up to three minutes (actual usage may differ).

I'm reviewing Event Viewer for any critical issues like "previous shutdown is unexpected." It seems there might be a problem affecting your fast boot, possibly due to an external drive disconnection after shutdown or a driver update issue on your friend's Asus X670E-F. If it persists, the problem could be normal.

I updated the BIOS firmware but didn’t see any changes affecting startup times. No error messages appear, suggesting a possible problem with the DDR5 RAM. Thanks for the guidance; I’ll keep an eye out for any updates from ASUS regarding this issue.

For your info, I verified my boyfriend's ASUS Strix X670E-F setup. It runs the 7700X with 32GB RAM and RTX4080, using two SSDs plus a 2TB HDD. The OS is installed on a 980Pro 1TB drive. It took roughly 32 to 35 seconds for the motherboard LEDs to show 'System OK' (cycling through RAM, CPU, RAM, VGA, then turning off). Booting to the login screen happened around the one-minute mark—some extra time may pass with MSI MPG321UR-QD startup. Overall it looks like a clean boot; the Task Manager clock shows several minutes.

For me, memory training only starts once BIOS updates are applied and adds an extra 10-15 seconds. I recognize the training from my board—POST Code 15 appears on the readout. After that, no further bootups occur. Is the BIOS completely up to date? This is important because memory performance has changed significantly over the past year, and I've owned this system since its initial week.

BIOS is completely refreshed, And every time I power up the machine I encounter this issue and occasionally (very uncommon) it requires more than 4 minutes to launch Windows.
