The system displays a black screen following Secure Boot activation and Legacy Boot being turned off.
Hello, I recently adjusted some BIOS settings on my HP Z440 Workstation. I turned on Secure Boot and turned off Legacy Boot. However, it beeped five times and displayed a red light, which I later discovered indicates a RAM problem. After replacing the RAM slots, the beeping stopped and everything appeared normal. Still, there was no display output. I attempted to reset the CMOS by removing the CMOS battery, but that didn’t work. My CPU has a Quadro 4000 GPU, and I tried various types of CMOS resets without success. I’m considering using an RX 580 because my PSU is 700 watts.
I tried Valorant with Secure Boot turned on. Initially it worked well. After updating my Nvidia Driver for the Quadro 4000 via optional updates, the screen went black during boot into Windows. Safe Mode was also unreliable, but I resolved it by skipping the update again.
The screen isn't displaying anything and I can't access the BIOS. Trying to reset the CMOS or remove the battery didn't help.
I've encountered the same issue before, do you have any answers?
others succeeded by taking out the gpu or installing a new one
