Previously, when switching storage devices on my PC and Steam didn't automatically detect them, I had to reinstall them manually. Now, trying to do the same results in an error saying the Steam library folder is empty. Someone could help resolve this issue.

Place the folder here to verify Steam can locate it automatically.

executed steam with admin privileges (it helped me when i faced the same issue) (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) steam needs admin access to perform all tasks (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (not sure why it isn’t available by default, maybe windows blocking it or something)

Halt the download; it should function now. The issue appears to be related to Steam's read/write functionality.

Hey team, seems like trying admin mode helped resolve the issue—though it might have been a small tweak. It worked great! Thanks!
