Hey everyone, welcome to the forum. Just starting out with this project. I built a compact ITX system for travel and ran into some problems. The components are: mainboard H610M-ITX/ac CPU Intel 12100F power supply Thermaltake Toughpower SFX650W RAM Gskill Ripjaws V 3600 at 3.6GHz and GPU is my old ROG GTX1070. The issue is I can't see anything on the display. I already replaced the GPU with a 3070 from my main system because it was sitting there unused, and swapping RAM didn’t help. When I used the 3070, the display worked, but putting the 1070 into my main system also fixed it. I’m wondering if the PCIe 4.0 riser cable might be causing the problem since the mainboard could force Gen 4 when the 1070 was PCIe 3.0. I changed DMI and PCIe settings in the BIOS, but still no display. Any advice would be great!
Both functions operate well. I haven’t encountered anything similar before, but since I’ve never worked with Riser cables, I thought they might be connected somehow. I double-checked that everything was securely plugged into the mainboard, GPU, power cords, and all other connections.
Unusually simple yet potentially useful tip: I installed the Lian Li x DAN A4 H20 and encountered a problem when using the ROG 1070. The issue seemed to be related to the output slots for DP and the frame of the case, especially with all my DP cables. It appears there wasn’t enough space to fully insert them. I’m not sure if there are DP cables with less plastic around their plug, but a thinner design should work better!
