The system becomes unresponsive on the motherboard's startup screen each time a M.2 drive is added.
I completed my latest setup yesterday, but when I tried to start up, the system stuck on the motherboard splash screen. I spent several hours troubleshooting. Eventually, I removed the M.2 SSD and got past the splash screen into the BIOS. After reinstalling the drive, it froze again on the splash screen. I tried using the second M.2 slot, but it didn’t work. My initial guess was a faulty drive, so I connected the old one to my previous system. It booted into BIOS and recognized the M.2 drive, suggesting the issue might be with the new motherboard’s M.2 slots or compatibility problems. Any ideas or advice would be really helpful. Thanks.
I checked several slots and everything seems fine, though it’s good to try again.
I checked both slots, but the system keeps freezing during startup.
