You recently upgraded your GPU to a RTX 4090 and everything seemed fine. But after a couple of weeks, under heavy load while playing games like Battlefield or OW2, your PC would freeze completely. You couldn’t escape using ESC, Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Del, or Task Manager, though the audio kept working. Eventually, you had to shut down the system to get out of it. On OW2, you received error messages like “Your rendering device has been lost.” It looks like the problem was tied to your GPU. Despite trying underclocking, resetting it, reinstalling drivers, and changing display ports, nothing helped. After replacing the GPU and re-setting everything, the issue disappeared. Have others faced this problem? What might have caused it?
Earlier this week there was a problem where I couldn't launch OW2 or other titles, but removing the anty cheat resolved it. Try deleting or turning off it to see if that helps.
