Hey everyone, the core of the issue is in the title. Ideally would you like to know if this board can handle two 130W CPUs or if it’s actually capable (or should be)? From what I’ve read on these forums, there seems to be another version of this board that supports only 95W CPUs, though no official docs confirm it for the X8DAi v2.0 model. Also, the X5690, which is still a 5600 series chip, was released three years after this board came out—could that pose any compatibility problems? To be honest, even if I could run an x5690 with the 48G ECC RAM I have, it wouldn’t be surprising to use this setup as my primary gaming PC. Still, it’s surprising how much value these older builds provide in 2021. Thanks, Theo.
It backs up 5900 processors. https://www.supermicro.com/products/moth.../X8DAi.cfm Intel guidelines confirm compatibility with the 130w chips (chipset 5520) https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...ducts.html
