I've noticed them recently going off, so I'm curious about their name. Looking up 8-bit graphics brought up very old games from about 15 years ago, like the Fazbear's Pizza.

They are frequently referred to as retro titles. 8/16-bit games were designed for older systems and platforms like Nintendo and Sega consoles. You might encounter them labeled as block models (Minecraft) or pixel art (Shovel Knight, etc.). Retro games feature visuals that resemble modern titles but employ classic movement or mechanics (Legend of Grimrock). There are also remakes, which can be visual upgrades or additions (Elite), or complete remakes (X-COM).
