The Story of Rosemond Hill
The Story of Rosemond Hill
I need help playing old PC games called "Legacy of Rosemond Hill". My computer is running Windows 8, though it used to be Windows 10 before that. I tried putting the new version on my gaming laptop with Windows 10 but it won't start. However, I was able to put the game on a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8 and it works fine there. The only issue is when I launch it, the screen goes black right away and then the game closes itself.
You need to play this game inside a Windows 8 Virtual Machine, even though you are using a newer PC. I know it looks like an old game from twenty years ago, so support won't get any better. It doesn't work at all on the 10 version here - check out the link for more info.
I'm going to attempt this, but I don't know how to make it run big on a Windows 8 virtual machine.
Easy Beginner Guide: Make Your Own Virtual Machine To start, you need some free apps or software tools. Then just click the button and follow the steps to create something special inside your computer's window. This thing lets you run a separate computer right on your main screen! It looks like a full machine, but it runs in a small box that feels like an app. You can even make this little virtual PC bigger if you want more room or power for it.
So what do you mean when you say "bigger"? Honestly, right now I have a little computer running Windows 10 that's sitting on top of my main system running Windows 11. Its window takes up the entire screen and uses about 95% of all the space on a 24-inch monitor.
What do I need to buy for my computer that runs version eight point one of Windows?
Here is a simple version: One for Windows 8.1. That might be tough to get. Do you own one of those old versions?
I finished getting it working, so now I am using Windows 8 on an Oracle VM in VirtualBox. How can I put Legacy of Rosemond Hill into that same Oracle VM setup?
