You received Fable 1 on PC, but opening a new save causes the game to stop. Need assistance resolving this issue.

Check the details to confirm if it's a potato or a Fable. Consider whether you acquired it for performance reasons or sentimental value.

You own a solid setup with a decent budget PC—RG-66 3200G and GTX 1660 Super. It’s likely you can handle the workload.

Alright, if your system is handling more power than it should, you may need to manage the performance settings. It seems your PC could be running at maximum capacity. Checking the nVidia overlay with FPS can reveal if it's pushing too high, which might lead to crashes. For instance, when installing the Legacy of Kain series, I used nVidia Inspector to cap the frame rate at 200 or lower, since it was attempting 2K+ frames per second. There could also have been a DirectX8 issue that needed fixing. The game was originally released in 2004 and remastered in 2014, yet many of the same issues persisted.
