You noticed the screws are overly tight and won’t budge, even with force. You’re worried about damaging the Mobo if you apply too much pressure. The issue seems to be with the ROG Strix B550-F Wi-Fi model.
However, your screwdrivers continue to miss it regardless of the head you apply.
The simplest option is to abandon the task and employ a cooler compatible with the bracket.
I purchased a self-driving screwdriver for each head, but now they’re completely stripped too. I’m really unsure how to fix this issue.
I’m not forcing it too much, but I have a cordless screwdriver now. The head is still stuck, and the screwdriver feels weird—some heads skip or don’t turn properly. Doing it by hand instead of using the automatic mode makes it strip more.
You don’t require a cordless screwdriver for these tasks. Just ensure you have a Philips (+) bit that fits correctly—typically Philips #2 or #3 works. Keep in mind the standard torque: clockwise to tighten, counterclockwise to loosen. If the tool spins, it means the screw heads are stripped. From your photo, the bottom-left screw looks badly damaged, while the top-right is still okay but shows some wear.
