Most of what I had set up disappeared right from the start menu. Going to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu shows nothing—no folders left and no shortcuts present. The issue is that searching isn’t working anymore. Typing program names in search only returns web results. After uninstalling a few apps with Revo Uninstaller and doing a Windows update, I’m still unsure which caused the problem. I tried rebuilding indexing, but it keeps showing “indexing is paused,” even though the count increases slowly. I haven’t managed to fix it. I restored my system to before any changes, but it’s still slow. Any suggestions on getting programs back to searchable? I’m stuck and need help. Windows 11
