You have ample spare time today—exploring the Windows 10 tech preview sounds like a smart idea. How reliable has it been so far? Weighing the pros and cons will help you decide if it’s worth diving in.

I've been using Windows 10 TP on my Surface Pro 3 and the Nokia Lumia without any problems. It works fine on both devices, though Windows 8.1 seems perfectly acceptable too.

I understand you're looking for a more streamlined experience, something fresh without the clutter. The Windows 8.1 version works, but the Windows 10 tech preview looked really interesting.

For everyday tasks it works well, but for gaming on your PC it might cause issues. There could be compatibility problems with an upcoming operating system.

If by stable you're asking about the chance of a blue screen, it's likely low since you've avoided it before. However, some other issues prevented you from opening NVIDIA Control Panel, which appears resolved but Sli is still not enabled in version 10051.
