The SSD won't start up.
You recently purchased an ASUS TUF A16 and successfully booted into the SSD included with it. You managed to access all your files from the 980 Pro that you uploaded via Alala, as well as your Windows files from your older PC. However, you're having trouble seeing them in the BIOS boot menu.
This laptop likely runs on an UEFI BIOS, which means your boot options are stored in a specific UEFI partition. Your SSD might not have that partition installed. A simple solution is to erase the SSD and install a new Windows system. The issue with the included SSD could stem from a corrupted or missing UEFI partition, or it might be faulty. You should be able to transfer its data to another device (or via a USB adapter) if it's still functional. Let me know if this helps.
You're adjusting your setup by using your 980 as a boot drive for better performance, without formatting it. There are ways to keep your files intact while testing this configuration.
Apologies for the confusion. It's feasible to create a bootable SSD, but I favor a clean Windows installation for consistency across devices. If your 980 isn't completely full, you can allocate space for another partition and install Windows there. Alternatively, you could back up all your data from the 980 and install a new Windows system on that backup. Once done, restore your files as needed.
Check if the existing Windows version is still active on the device.
Thanks for the update—previous versions are fine now. I'm not concerned about slowdowns from clutter. I don't need a method to reinstall Windows; I just want something that works with the current setup.
