Yesterday your SSD was functioning well and loading correctly. Now it’s missing from File Explorer when you restart your PC. I don’t know why it’s not showing up. Could the SSD have failed or are there steps you can take to fix it? The model is a Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB.
Are there additional secondary storage options besides this one? Check if it appears in BIOS, Device Manager, or Disk Management. More details could help resolve the issue.
I haven't set anything up since it worked fine before. It seems to have been a bit of a coincidence. Your ROG Maximus XII Hero motherboard might be the reason!
It seems unusual. You might find a workaround in Windows, but I’d likely stop trying and switch to a Live Linux USB. Linux offers superior drive management tools compared to DiskPart, making the fix much simpler. Get a beginner-friendly Linux ISO—Vanilla Ubuntu works well for this task—and install it onto a USB stick using Rufus. When the installation window appears, choose "Try now" or close it immediately. You’ll enter a live setup without affecting your current Windows installation. Use Gparted to locate and format the problematic drive as NTFS.
I spent more than an hour working with the drive, and now it seems to be completely nonfunctional. I've only owned this drive for a year, which is unusual. It doesn’t display any storage and can’t hold anything. Sad to say goodbye to the overpriced Sabrent Rocket ;(
I faced a comparable problem before, though the reasons differed. This guide addresses numerous issues and offers fixes for SSD not appearing in Windows 10 or 11 (diskpart.com). Success is guaranteed!
