Hello, I just upgraded from an 8 GB Hynix 2133MHz to a 16x2 DDR4 system in HyperX 2666MHz. In BIOS it shows 2666Mhz, but CPU-Z says 1333 (thanks for the double data rate info). In Task Manager, under Performance - Memory it lists 2133Mhz, which is higher than my processor's max of 2400Mhz. I understand the data rate thing, but why isn't it reaching 2400Mhz? How can I get it to go up to that speed? My RAM is in channels B1 and B2 (ASUS A2/B2 recommendation). My setup includes: i5 7400 3.0GHz boosted to 3.5GHz, 32GB HyperX 2666MHz, Aus Rog Z270F, Strix Zotac 1660Ti, 6GB GDDR6, and a 480+240GB SSD.
