Quantum Break system needs have been outlined, Windows 10 update released. Remedy clarified the initial claims were inaccurate. The originally suggested hardware matches the "Ultra" tier, whereas the true "Recommended" version is much more modest. Requirements have been adjusted accordingly. Earlier reports hinted at potential compatibility with Windows 7 and 8, but this has now been confirmed. As someone who's used Windows 7 for years, I regret having to say goodbye sooner than expected. The posted specs on quantumbreak.com read: Minimum – OS: Windows 10 (64-bit), CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 @ 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x, RAM: 8 GB, VRAM: 2 GB, HDD: 55 GB, DX: DirectX 12, Recommended – OS: Windows 10 (64-bit), CPU: Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.9GHz or AMD equivalent, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 390, RAM: 16 GB, VRAM: 4 GB, HDD: 55 GB, DX: DirectX 12 Ultra. It seems a 260X is noticeably slower than a GTX 760, though the numbers look reasonable.

When an AMD alternative to the 4790 becomes available, I’ll begin munching on popcorn without any butter, haha.

It seems like 760 might be a better fit for the R9 280. What’s unusual is how they mention “AMD Equivalent” requirements, since those depend on whether the game is single-threaded or multi-threaded.

760 matches the 270x, which feels odd since I already have a 260x setup, so I might give it a shot.
