I have a 144Hz monitor with FreeSync. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently. However, some games behave differently depending on their settings. In certain titles like Resident Evil 5 or The Crew 2, the game feels fine at 60 FPS, but in others—such as Mass Effect Andromeda—playing at 60 FPS makes it feel sluggish. Even when I cap the frame rate to 2560x1440 at 60Hz with VSYNC enabled, the experience remains laggy. It seems the issue isn't related to bottlenecks or hardware limitations, but rather how the game handles its own optimization. The problem might lie in the game's settings or how it interprets FPS limits.

Vsync can lead to input delay and a slow gameplay experience. For Nvidia graphics cards, install Nvidia Inspector to cap frame rates. With AMD systems, download MSI Afterburner, add Rivatuner, and set FPS limits.

You're using AMD and wondering why VSYNC affects some games differently. It seems to work in certain titles while causing issues like lag or stutter in others, even when you enable it. Most games handle FPS caps without major problems, but occasionally they can become sluggish or freeze if the settings aren't right. It's definitely possible but not common.

Each match varies... unique engine, script, etc. This means outcomes will change accordingly.
