Hi Gmail and Yahoo Mail, they no longer support this Firefox version. Help me regain my email access. Either reset my password to install a different browser or resolve the issue. OS: Release 11 Katkya Kernel Linux 2.6.38-8-generic Browser: Firefox Version 5.0 I'm using: https://mintguide.org/system/248-reset-t...-mint.html https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1355 and https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/339

Chrome isn't installed and I lack the master password. I attempted those links, but they only worked on GNU GRUB2 without any changes.

I don’t possess the necessary admin credentials. The person I’m assisting isn’t aware of them either.

I successfully accessed the boot editing process. Refer to the guide here: https://mintguide.org/system/248-reset-t...-mint.html

It seems you're running an older version of Linux Mint. Consider updating Mint and Firefox to the latest versions. Gmail and Yahoo work with the current Firefox versions across all systems. To recover your password, you can either boot from a live CD to reset it or follow the instructions in your guide. You should be able to update via sudo instead of using a root password.

I might start with single-user mode, then use the passwd tool to update your password and/or the root password. Also consider adding your account to the sudoers file. Check out this guide: https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/339
