Meow Meow humans, I understand you're trying to bypass the AMD x3d chips and the AMD overclocking page has disappeared from the BIOS (as expected). However, the Asus PBO tuner is still accessible in limited quantities, though you can't adjust the MHz boost or settings like PPT, EDT, TDP. You can still use the scaler and set the maximum TJP with the curve optimizer as usual. I noticed a noticeable improvement with a negative offset of -30 in core boost behavior, but I disabled it to avoid any potential long-term effects. Let me know if you'd like to use the curve optimizer. Thanks in advance, and have a happy new year! I'm excited to get a new GPU soon—hope the release and pricing are great.
The goal is to boost performance further, specifically in MHz. Small gains won’t make much difference since the current baseline is solid enough. Overall, a minor increase won’t help much unless your system is heavily CPU-intensive for tasks. Compared to typical GPU settings in games, the improvement will likely be a few percent at most, not enough for gaming.
Higher MHz, cooler temps, reduced CPU usage. Right now I'm using Handbrake to compress my media library for storage savings (see below). Previously, the all-core boost before CO was 4.250MHz, now it's around 4.450/4.5. Power consumption dropped from 130W to 120W without CO, reaching 91°C without thermal throttling. With CO at 30 or -25, it barely exceeds 80°C. While it won't significantly impact my Handbrake encodes or gaming performance, temps are more manageable for me.
