Hello, I've been adjusting my desktop background using RainMeter. I saved a power-on/off button and tested it. My computer shut down completely, then wouldn't restart. Initially, I suspected the power supply unit because its fans stopped working. After disconnecting all components from the motherboard, it came back on. As I connected one item at a time, I realized the issue might be with the argb wire. I ran a paperclip test on the PSU and found no problems there. When I left it unplugged, the fans activated, and all fans reached full power, but the BIOS didn't display any status or beep codes indicating a boot attempt. Trying to power on without RAM had no effect. I tested each of my four RAM sticks in every slot, but nothing changed. I attempted a CMOS reset, but it didn't help. Was this shortcut damaging my motherboard? Could it be related to the processor? Mobo: Asus z390a RAM: Thermaltake 4x8 3600MHz CPU: i5-9600K PSU: CX750M

It seems the software might be causing issues, but I'm not sure what exactly happened. Reinstalling Windows via a USB or DVD could be a good first step.

I’m having trouble reaching the BIOS screen to make changes, even though the fans are running at full speed and the default theme is showing. USB devices are still receiving power from the motherboard. This situation has never happened to me before—I’m really confused.

It seems quite unusual. I believed you could skip the POST screen using a Windows USB stick, but apparently it might not be possible. I’m hoping another person over here can assist you!

Do you own a graphics card? That seems to point to a graphics problem, since new motherboards usually don’t fail like that.

In the year 2070, everything seems normal except for this. I haven’t faced any problems before, and these parts haven’t been here for a whole year.

It looks like a problem with the Northbridge, though these issues usually occur on older motherboards from 2011. It's unclear if software could fix it!

Correlation doesn't equal cause. Your RGB board might be damaged. I've seen cases where software affects a motherboard in unexpected ways. This kind of issue isn't typical.
