I’d consider smoothing things out a bit more first. Use a thin safety blade to gently push it back into its correct position before securing it with the socket.

Alternatively, obtain a credit card, place it between two rows of pins, and lightly press on the sides to realign them. You can also use the tip of a ballpoint pen to gently straighten it. These pins are quite flexible and can handle minor bending.

I experienced the same problem with equal severity. I opted for a sharpened butter knife because its proper width helped reposition the pin gently. The issue isn’t severe; it’s better to straighten it before installing it.

I applied the butter knife technique and straightened the pin completely; nothing appears bent now.
