Hello, good morning. I’m planning to get an AI for my CPU soon and wanted to know how to boost the boost clocks further. I’ve tried pushing past 3.6GHz but it keeps hitting that limit. The BIOS target is set at 3.6GHz, so how can I raise it? I currently have a solid overclock stable in BIOS and feel much faster. My board is an Intel B550-F Gaming.
Already tried game mode, PBO, Auto OC and Curve Optimizer. The only unusual thing I notice is the BIOS setting shows a target clock of 3.6GHz, which might be restricting performance.
You don't require an AIO for that CPU; you could switch to a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120, which is much more affordable if you're looking for... But your existing CPU cooler should be sufficient for your 5700X. That seems odd, since your 5700X would likely perform much better. I'm currently using a 212 EVO on my overclocked 5700X, reaching 4.65GHz across all cores. There might be an issue with the BIOS settings or the BIOS itself.
