I've just updated my BIOS, and after restarting into Windows 10 Pro version 2004, the shortcuts on my desktop from that specific drive stopped working—they just show blank spaces. The drive is still found in Explorer with all its programs, but the shortcuts are gone. Is there a simple way to bring them back, or do I need to create them anew?
I can't generate or display screenshots directly. However, you can find the desired shortcut by navigating to Properties > Shortcut in your application and copying its value.
I own three external drives—C: as my boot drive, plus two 1TB storage drives labeled D: and G:. The D: drive appears to be experiencing problems, while shortcuts from both G: and C: work fine. Apologies if I didn’t explain things more clearly earlier.
