Serious point. I recall everyone once despised EA, now it seems Ubisoft is the target. When did this shift happen? I didn’t hate EA at all—I actually enjoyed Deadspace 3. But I dislike Ubisoft because FC4 was a terrible experience in SLI (and it was really buggy).

It seems likely that watchdog tools will appear soon. EA has stopped making mistakes worse than Ubisoft, and then focus moved elsewhere.

As players noticed the similarities between Assassin's Creed and the previous title, and WatchDogs' poor reception didn't improve things, the situation became even more frustrating.

I believe since they started sharing yearly updates for AC, it was around that period that the developers made some odd remarks (just a number, after all) and then released games with many bugs. It didn’t go well with consumers. EDIT: Oh yeah, I remember Watch_Dogs... Edited April 20, 2015 by Wauthar

The EA dislikes kept persisting (BF4, BF Hardline), while the Ubi dislikes began after Watch Dogs didn’t deliver the promised visuals. Unity’s general lag appeared, plus just as Ubisoft introduced UPlay.

Since EA has been producing decent work most of the time, they even offered refunds on their games across various platforms. Still, Ubisoft has taken a huge step back, releasing lower-quality titles, broken products, and making exaggerated claims about performance. They’ve said 30fps looks more cinematic, dismissed resolution as just a number, and generally acted like a big jerk.

It seems like you're referring to a pattern that began around AC1 but the hostility began at AC3.
