My Minecraft shaders are performing poorly. I'm using a GTX 1080 TI Auros xtreme with 11GB RAM, it seems to run smoothly on other games but struggles with Minecraft Shaders. When I boost the graphics settings, usage rises but stays between 30 and 40 FPS. It feels like the GPU is trying to maintain that frame rate, but I’m not sure why it doesn’t spike higher even at lower shader levels. I don’t think it’s a hardware bottleneck since my Intel i5 10600K runs well, paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM and an M.2 SSD.

Your system temperatures are likely high due to the game's performance issues. Check your CPU and GPU temps to see if they're exceeding normal ranges.

The built-in FPS capper in Minecraft uses a specific version or shader to limit frame rate.

Adarw, between 50 to 60 degrees is my CPU temperature at a render distance of 48.

I used Seus Renewed-v1.0.1 and BSL _v8.1, but I still get the same performance—high FPS with minimal GPU load. I also experimented with two render distances; at 100 FPS I saw increased GPU usage beyond that point.

BSL daily driver here. Did you try adjusting the shader settings to medium? Also, turn off Ambient Occlusion and anti-aliasing, and make sure all but dynamic update are enabled in OptiFine performance settings. Think about using fabric ported shaders, such as Iris Ps: Keep your chunk settings around 16 chunks—most servers don’t exceed that.
