I recently purchased a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and it appears its performance isn't reaching the expected levels. It's only achieving around 4.4Ghz instead of the anticipated 5Ghz. Temperatures remain stable below 60 degrees, and the specs match the product description.
It seems a BIOS update might be required, or you need to check the current power settings.
Currently using F5. Tested F7 and F8a but didn’t verify the boost clocks for fairness. Since I couldn’t enable XMP/Expo, I’m going back to F7 again now.
I hadn't tested it yet, so I'm a bit new to PC stuff. Using the G.Skill 32GB 6000Mhz CL36 kit with an AMD Expo setup feels unfamiliar.
At Bios f5 there are no issues with running 6000Mhz using the standard expo settings.
Knowing the specific part number would be useful. At present, the QVL list doesn't show a G.Skill 6000MHz CL36 kit. Consider entering the frequency and main timings manually in BIOS to accommodate the 7800X3D. If that fails, you may need a different RAM kit that's compatible. As mentioned, please use the quote button at the bottom left of our posts.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the part number, so I’m assuming you’ll need to try another kit.
