Keep the factory recovery partition intact. Burning a set of factory recovery DVDs is more effective.
I can see no reason that I'd want to keep the factory install data. If I did I'd not be in this thread already. I've already deleted all partitions and I'm nearly finished installing Windows 10 Home fresh of a USB key generated by the Win 10 media creation tool.
You need to remove every partition and start fresh with a new file system.
Microsoft encouraged avoiding sticker and UEFI key integration because it enables more attractive system designs and prevents issues with label degradation, ensuring your product key remains intact without needing a photo or written record (provided you remember where you saved it). This also makes OS reinstallation easier—just use the Media Tool from Microsoft to download Windows 10, then prepare a DVD or USB drive for a clean install. Windows will automatically recognize the product key in your UEFI without requiring any input.
