Hello! I just got a brand new PC running Windows 10. I’m using two monitors, and everything works fine when playing fullscreen games. But when the game ends, my secondary display turns off and resets to just the main screen, requiring me to adjust it manually. I’m wondering how to fix this issue. On my old PC, I didn’t have this problem. My current setup is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 18362.900. The specs are: CPU i5-3330, 16GB RAM, 1333MHz VGA, Asus GTX 770 2GB GPU, Gigabyte GA-H61MA-D3V monitor (rev. 2.1), and a main display AOC C24G1 (1920x1080, 144Hz via DisplayPort).

The problem lies with the resolution. However, was the primary monitor using DP in the earlier configuration? A quick fix would be to play games in windowed mode.

I kept the same main monitor with DP. The secondary display stayed disabled, unlike before. I used a 1680 x 1050 Samsung screen previously, but it’s no longer available. Would it help to adjust the secondary monitor’s resolution to a higher setting?

I checked many settings to improve display quality, but none resolved the issue. I discovered an old listing mentioning a 1440x900 resolution, though it wasn’t available in Windows. I tried setting that size, but it didn’t work either.
