Today I experienced an issue about an hour ago with my main monitor going black and the second one pausing. My main monitor was connected via displayport input while the other used HDMI on a 5600XT graphics card. After waiting a minute, I shut down the computer and restarted it. When I rebooted again, only one monitor displayed input, and its refresh rate seemed much slower. One of my monitors is 144Hz, which helped me notice the difference. I cleaned up the PC and reinstalled RAM, but the problem persisted. After disconnecting the monitor from the display port and restarting, the other monitor worked properly. It appears only one monitor can function at a time now. I’ve had similar cases where my graphics card would time out, but usually a reboot fixed it. This seems unusual. What steps should I take to resolve this? Thanks.

you can try running a GPU Stress test when you get into your desktop to determine if you Graphics Card has a Fault with the card itself or if its just a Faulty port that's giving you issues, Change a cable, try reinstalling Drivers or going back a driver version. if absolutely nothing like these steps ends up working for you then i'm afraid you might have a Faulty piece of hardware in your system.

I resolved it by checking my display settings and noticed the monitor was using Microsoft Basic Graphics. I opened Device Manager and found the GPU was disabled, then re-enabled it, which fixed everything.
