Hello, I just got my PC upgraded. Everything appears to be functioning well; yet this morning I connected a USB drive to the front I/O and the screen went dark. The system still ran, with fans spinning and drives active. Restarting brought it back to Windows, but after three attempts it entered recovery mode, which resolved the issue. It also happened when I touched the case and got shocked. I think there might be a grounding issue, though it seems inconsistent—now the front I/O works. Any suggestions or insights would be appreciated. Thanks ahead!

I verified whether the motherboard makes contact with the case but only touches the standoffs. It appears the PSU might be defective, though I can't confirm that. The issue seems to require power for a short time before it occurs and remains inconsistent. I've attached a video showing what's happening. The USB drive functions normally, but the display goes black immediately after plugging it in. IMG_0157.MP4

I dismantled my PC and noticed the heat spreaders on my motherboard had screws sticking out far from the back. I’m not sure if this is the main issue. I placed a non-conductive foam between them to prevent damage, and it’s been working well so far. It looks like a ground connection might be the problem, possibly affecting another component. The case itself seems to be involved too. I plan to replace my case when possible and check if that solves the matter. If not, I’ll upgrade my PSU as originally intended.

Hello, I'm facing the same problem as you with your Vega 56 from MSI. It seems related to a ground point issue. I've installed an update driver for my GPU, but so far in Windows it hasn't caused the problem. However, since I also use a Mac, it still occurs. I've checked my PC thoroughly and haven't found anything, maybe it's worth taking it apart for a closer look. Have you come across any solution? Cheers

Hi, I'm facing the same issue with my vega 64 nitro+ and it occurs even in the BIOS. Are there any fixes or workarounds I should try?
