The screen turns black and the GPU fans stop working when installing the display driver.
New PC build with fresh Windows 11. During graphics driver installation, GPU crashed immediately. Black screen appeared, fans stopped, but system remained powered on. Restarted and after POST, black screen again. Only returned to desktop in SafeMode where GPU appears under Device Manager.
Tried various solutions: different drivers, alternate PCI slot, set PCI slot to Gen4, updated BIOS, refreshed chipset drivers, reinstalled Windows. Windows Update was blocked from auto-updating the GPU driver. Used DDU multiple times and lost track. Issue occurs with either AMD 9070XT or Nvidia 5070, suggesting it's not the graphics card itself.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Where did you obtain the installer for the OS? Did you set up the installation without internet access? Were you required to install all necessary drivers for your system while offline?
Mobo: ASUS B650E MAX
Check your motherboard's BIOS version.
Ensure your graphics card is properly seated. If needed, take them out and reinsert them into the first PCIe x16 slot.
Official Windows install media is available. Drivers were manually installed in offline mode but the installation still fails. I've also re-seated the GPU, changed its slot, and used a different GPU brand/model.
