Hey guys, lately, I've been having a tough time with my gaming nights. Every single time I play CS:GO, the graphics are all messed up and the screen is tearing way too much. It feels like I'm playing at only 40 FPS instead of more. I have this medium-end PC set up with an AMD FX-8300, an RX 590 8GB card, and 16 GB of RAM. Even though CS:GO runs on about 120 to 150 FPS normally, every time I press the TAB key or hover my mouse over some pop-up windows, the frame rate drops down by around 60 FPS. I'm wondering if this whole issue has something to do with it. I use Radeon Relive to capture my highlights because that records the game while I play, but switching it off makes the FPS go up, but it doesn't fix the tearing or that feeling of playing on low FPS. If you need me to upload some videos, let me know! Has anyone else had this exact same problem?
what is the power supply unit brand and model? are we checking the CPU or GPU temperature while playing the game?
I can't tell you exactly which PSU it is, but this 500-watt unit runs at great temperatures. Thanks to my special airflow setup, neither the CPU nor the GPU gets hotter than around 50 degrees Celsius.
