I have the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53.
I understand that alcohol can damage the anti-glare coating and matte finish on my screen, but I’m unsure about wiping it with a microfiber cloth every day. Will using a microfiber cloth to remove dust harm the coatings?
If you wore glasses, you'd understand how microfibre fabrics (along with all the accumulated dirt and grime) can easily scratch the supposedly tougher coatings on lenses. Yes, you'd likely create many small, almost imperceptible marks this way. However, compared to the normal wear and tear of a laptop, it probably wouldn't be significant unless it's in an environment with heavy abrasive particles, such as a machine shop.
