Hi all,
My machine is just over 2 years old - no problems at all until tonight.
Windows updated to the latest build (Windows 10). And after this, the display was all washed out in some spots, over saturated in others.
Did the usual and updated the NVIDIA drivers, rebooted, still the same,
I then saw in a Windows support thread that someone had fixed this by deleting the monitor profile within windows.
Did this - restarted and now, nothing. Nothing on the screen, no Post screen. I can see the PC is booting up, but I am getting no display.
I've tried different ports on the TV, different cables etc. I can rule this out, as the Xbox works on all ports etc.
I cannot get into safe mode or anything without a display, as my machine is running a 5900X which has no integrated GPU.
My GPU is an RTX 3070 and only has the one HDMI output slot I do have a VGA I could attempt to try if I can borrow another monitor and cable to see, but surely there is a way to get into POST at least?
Has anyone else had anything similar? I would like to avoid having to send the whole thing back for a warranty. If it's a driver or system conflict, it won't be covered anyway. I can't believe the card would have just gone bad after 2 years - especially when I am just using it for video editing / a few games.
Specs
CPU
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Mobo
ASUS B550M-A WiFi
RAM
32GB DDR4 3200MHz – 2x16GB
M.2
Crucial P2 500GB M.2
HDD
2TB SATA III
Case
Cougar MX410 MESH-G
Video
nVidia RTX3070 8GB
OS
Windows 10 Home 64-Bit
PSU
Seasonic 650W 80+ Gold
Cooler
Coolermaster ML240L RGB

Things I've done:
Updated GPU official drivers to try and fix initial error
Deleted monitor/display profile within windows to attempt to fix initial error
Tried known working HDMI cables/ports
TV is working - works with console with same HDMI input / Cable.
Any help would be appreciated.

When you turn off the PC, it displays a message indicating no input detected or shows a black screen.
If the message appears, connectivity issues are likely affecting the connection from the PC to the TV.
If only a black screen appears, the system is booting but freezing at some point.

1) Try restarting and right after, press the BIOS key normally repeatedly until you enter BIOS or encounter a keyboard error. This should help access the startup options.
2) If this doesn’t work, restart again and immediately after, hold down the left SHIFT key until the screen updates to Advanced Startup.

2.1) If you manage to reach Safe Mode, download and run DDU, removing all graphics drivers and installing the newest versions for your GPU.

The initial action involves figuring out whether the issue lies with hardware or software. You might disconnect all drives and check if booting into BIOS is possible, as that’s the only way to proceed. If BIOS boots work, proceed by installing a USB drive with either the Windows installer or a Linux distribution. This helps verify if other components function correctly and confirms your GPU and monitor are operational. Finally, you’ll need to decide whether to reinstall Windows and prioritize saving essential files from your drive before doing so.

Hi, thanks for your message.
I wasn't getting any output to the TV at all, which usually means I'd see a "No signal" alert on the screen.
But I was able to resolve it—just remove the CMOS battery, leave it disconnected for 10 or 15 minutes, and then reinsert it. It worked perfectly now.
I hope this wasn’t a hardware problem. I think the update might have altered a colour profile or caused a conflict with the NVIDA driver, and deleting the Monitor profile in Windows could have fixed it.
Unclear why the fix helped, but I'm glad it did. If anyone has ideas, please share. It would be helpful to know if this happens again or to assist others with a similar setup involving Ryzen and NVIDIA.
Thanks again.
