I own an MSI GF63 Thin 12UCX 814US with just one 8GB DDR4 3200 RAM stick. To fix the issue, I added another 8GB DDR4 3200 CL22 RAM and it resolved the problem during gameplay (FPS Chess and Splitgate). Updates to BIOS, drivers, and Windows didn’t help. The issue only affects gaming sessions.

Use the same amount of RAM as available. Nothing else can be done.

He can't adjust settings by hand, but "anime fan" is among the leading choices.

On a laptop? I'm not sure. The top two are hard to decide—Monster and Stens;Gate. In my book, there are many 10/10 titles like Natsume's Book of Friends, Mushishi, Death Note, FMA, etc.
