The Samsung S90C displays wrong colors during startup.
I've set up my gaming PC connected to a Samsung S90C TV in the living room. When I power on the PC, the dark parts of the screen look completely black while the bright areas appear normal. If I switch the TV off and then back on, the display returns to normal. It seems like the TV is misinterpreting the color space during startup, and that switching it off forces a recalibration. Changing the TV's color settings doesn't resolve the issue. My PC runs an Intel Arc A770 GPU on Arch Linux (steamos/holoiso). I've attached screenshots of the Steam big picture settings menu; the darker option appears incorrect while the lighter one is correct. The difference in exposure between the images is just a visual effect, not a real change. This process is frustrating because I have to toggle game mode every time I turn on the PC.
Is there a TV setting to force the TV to run at Full (255) and instead of Limited or Auto detect? Something along those lines.
The available color settings on the TV are Auto, Native, and Normal. Adjusting these changes the appearance of colors in bright regions while keeping dark areas consistent.
