They can be verified separately. Each position works independently, allowing self-assessment in both slots.
I'm nervous about destroying my old board, so I handed it to my girlfriend who likes a rustic build. Probably better to skip the new CPU at Best Buy instead—good luck avoiding another failure!
Do you have two GTX 1080 graphics cards connected via SLI? The system supports two-way SLI and you’ve installed the necessary bridge.
In reality, everything fits perfectly. It might be best to follow up with the RMA on the board.
Switching back to the older board didn’t produce any posts. The first 1080 had some visual problems, and the second 1080 isn’t posting at all. It looks like I accidentally mixed them up somehow. The GTX 750 works just fine. Interestingly, the Ryzen board seems to malfunction while my old 4790k is okay. Could a faulty CPU damage both the cards and the PCIe lanes?
It might be the power source affecting the PCIe connectors on the PCI device.
Reversed the connectors, but nothing altered. The graphics cards or CPU are my main concerns.
Determine the issue by checking the PCIe lane status and testing the second card separately. Look for signs of damage or failure in the slot connections. If the card stopped working despite other slots functioning, it may point to a problem with the motherboard interface or a weak connection point in the chipset.
