I adjusted the CPU ratio to 38 on my new MSI X570 Tomahawk board. Everything looks okay and appears in the task manager's base speed. However, in games it doesn’t reach that level. I switched to Ryzen Master and set the peak speed to 3800MHz (originally 3100MHz). Restarted the system. Opening Ryzen Master now displays the correct new peak speed of 3800MHz. Launching any game—whether League, Assassin's Creed, or CoD—shows the core speed dropping to around 3100MHz (as confirmed by CPU-Z). I’m puzzled about this behavior, could you assist? Thanks! P.S. No temperature concerns—my Noctua fan keeps it well below 50°C, and I just powered on the PC. I have an R7 1700 with an X570 MSI motherboard.
Oh sure, I didn’t realize that. It seems I just took the compatibility details for granted over the past five years. Thanks!
